Taylor Swift has spent the past several years as the biggest star in music, and her relationship with Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce has only put her further in the spotlight. But after a rocky few months, Swift is reportedly starting to worry that the public may be getting sick of her.
According to a new report, Swift is aware of growing “fatigue” around her and Kelce, from their wedding to the nonstop attention that follows the couple. An insider reportedly claims that Swift is “genuinely anxious” about how people will respond to her music going forward.
Encore Struggles
Swift and Kelce got married at Madison Square Garden in July. Then in September, Swift released The Life of a Showgirl: The Encore, which added four new songs, including the single “Patient Zero,” to her 2025 album.
But the response from critics was rough. The Encore earned an average score of 39 out of 100 on Metacritic, the worst-rated release of Swift’s career.
And Swift reportedly took it hard.
“Taylor is extremely sensitive to criticism,” a source told Star Magazine. “These songs are like her babies, so when people tear them apart, she can’t help but take it very personally.”
Despite that, Swift is reportedly in no rush to step away, with a new album and a 2027 tour reportedly on the way and plans to start a family with Kelce on hold for now.
‘She Knows There’s Fatigue’
Now, an insider who spoke to RadarOnline claims that Swift is well aware of the criticism and is worried that people might be growing tired of her and Kelce.
“Taylor can feel the backlash,” the source said. “She knows there’s fatigue. The wedding, Travis, the nonstop attention – she’s genuinely anxious about how people will respond.”
According to the report, Swift is still confident in her music, but she no longer assumes that everything she puts out will be met with universal praise.
“Taylor used to feel untouchable,” the insider added. “Now she feels like she has something to prove. This comeback matters.”
Of course, it’s worth noting that the report comes from an anonymous source, and neither Swift nor Kelce has addressed it publicly.
In the meantime, Swift has continued to show up for Kelce and the Chiefs. She was in a suite at Arrowhead Stadium last Sunday as Kansas City beat the Los Angeles Chargers 22-6 to improve to 5-0 on the season.
