A new travel package announced this week offers a unique experience: a child-free flight.
JetBlue Vacations and Virgin Voyages have launched an adults-only flight-and-cruise package called “Do Not Disturb,” which went on sale this week and sails from March 4 to March 8, 2027. The $2,750 package for two includes round-trip adults-only JetBlue flights between New York City (JFK ) and Fort Lauderdale (FLL), plus four nights on Virgin Voyages’ latest ship, Brilliant Lady, in a Sea Terrace cabin. The trip includes stops in Key West, Fla., and Bimini, in the Bahamas.
But while the trip includes plenty of bonuses (think: first come, first served access to JetBlue’s airport lounge at JFK, BlueHouse; a free in-flight drink; and private airport transfers), it’s the kid-free experience the airline and cruise line are betting will draw customers.

“We get it,” says the Virgin Voyages website. “Adulting means finding time for everyone else … But every once in a while, you deserve a little uninterrupted time for yourself too. That’s where Do Not Disturb comes in.”
Travelers intrigued by this trip should book quickly, as this is a one-time sailing, with only 60 cabins available. And the round-trip, adults-only charter flights between New York City and Fort Lauderdale were arranged specifically for the Do Not Disturb experience.
“The idea started with a simple question: What if the adults-only holiday could start before you even stepped on board?” a Virgin Voyages spokesperson tells Yahoo Travel. “We’d seen the conversation around kid-free travel and thought there was something exciting in extending the Virgin Voyages experience from sea to sky.”
Adults-only cruises are not rare: All Virgin Voyages cruises, which launched in 2021, are exclusively 18 and older, as are both river and ocean sailings with Viking Cruises. The cruise line Oceania also transitioned to adults-only bookings in 2026. But entirely adults-only flights? That’s far less common.

While Corendon introduced a 16-and-over section on flights between Amsterdam and Curaçao in 2023, younger passengers can still travel on those flights — unlike the entirely adults-only charter flights in the JetBlue and Virgin Voyages package.
And there’s evidence child-free flights may appeal to at least some U.S. travelers. A December 2025 YouGov poll found that 21% of Americans considered disruptive children a major issue with air travel, while a 2023 YouGov poll found that 58% considered loud or noisy children older than 4 unacceptable on planes.
The Virgin Voyages spokesperson added that JetBlue helped them turn the idea of seamless kid-free travel into “something people could actually book, and the response has shown just how much appetite there is for it.”
It’s clear from the amount of chatter about the Do Not Disturb package online, particularly on Reddit’s r/childfree, where many commenters are celebrating. The discussion received more than 1,300 upvotes just two days after the news was announced. “I don’t even care where it’s going, I’m on that flight!” one person wrote on the message board.

Another added, “Oh man I hope this makes a lot of money and turns into a widespread industry thing,” a comment that received 442 upvotes as of publication time.
Even some parents are hoping for more adults-only flights. Slate writer Jenée Desmond-Harris wrote this week that there should “absolutely be flights where kids are banned.”
“If kid-free flights were widely available, those who do not want to be subjected to the antics of little ones would obviously celebrate,” she wrote. But she added that parents would be the real winners. “Instead of praying for a four-hour block of time without tantrums or seat-kicking and wondering whether I should compensate my seatmates for any disturbance, I could simply think: I hope all goes well. But if anyone is really bothered by kids, they should have chosen an 18-and-over flight.”
And for those in favor, it’s possible more child-free flights could be in the works. A JetBlue spokesperson tells Yahoo Travel that while this charter is currently exclusive to the one-time Do Not Disturb experience, “given the incredible response, we’re excited to explore what might come next.”
