Over the past few weeks, rumors of a potential relationship between Kai Trump and Miami Hurricanes football player Jake Weinberg started swirling on social media.
Weinberg is the kicker for the Hurricanes, who just received good news from the College Football Playoff selection committee. The committee placed Miami at No. 1 in the first CFP rankings of the year. Weinberg previously kicked for the Florida State Seminoles before transferring to Miami, where Trump plays on the golf team.

The two were spotted recently at a restaurant in Palm Beach, leading to further rumors of a potential romance. However, a new report from TMZ tossed cold water on those rumors.

TMZ refutes dating rumors

TMZ spoke to a source close to Trump, the daughter of Donald Trump Jr. and Vanessa Trump and granddaughter of President Donald Trump, who said there is no romantic spark between the two.
“Dating rumors have been swirling on social media … and some folks saw Kai and Jake at the same Palm Beach restaurant recently … but we’re told there’s nothing brewing … at least romantically,” TMZ reported on Wednesday.
Kai Trump recently had surgery
Just last month, Trump revealed she was recovering from surgery to repair a wrist injury she suffered in her first tournament of the season.

“While I had hoped to avoid surgery, after talks with my family, coaches, and athletic training staff I know I made the best decision for my long-term health and my future in the game I love,” she said.
It’s unclear if she’ll be able to return to the golf course this season.
