There are more roses to come.
On Friday, Nov. 6, ABC revealed that The Bachelor will return for season 30 in 2027, nearly two years after Grant Ellis’ season concluded in March 2025. The new season will premiere on March 21.
Ellis’ journey ended with his engagement to Juliana Pasquarosa, though the couple split less than three months after the finale aired.

The network did not share any further details about the upcoming season, aside from confirming its premiere date. It is unclear who will be the lead.
The show’s return comes after Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star Taylor Frankie Paul’s season of The Bachelorette was canceled just days before its scheduled March premiere.
A Disney Entertainment Television spokesperson said in a statement at the time that the decision to pull the season was a result of footage published by TMZ from 2023 that showed Paul throwing chairs at her ex, Dakota Mortensen, while a child was nearby.

Several Bachelor Nation stars questioned the franchise’s future after Paul’s season was canceled, including former Bachelorette Rachel Lindsay, who suggested the franchise was “over.”
“I was trying to think of a scenario where it could be different, because this isn’t just, ‘Oh, we put it all on a person. This person did this.’ This is the system that allowed this to happen,” she said on the Bachelor Party podcast. “The name Bachelorette, Bachelor is tainted at this point. How do you move forward past that? You can’t.”

Ashley Iaconetti felt differently. She told PEOPLE she had “very complex thoughts on what went down” with Paul, but was optimistic about the franchise as a whole.
“I hope that the franchise goes on and flourishes,” she said. “Overall, I just really hope that we see The Bachelorette on our screens faster than a year or so from now. I hope we can bounce back from this.”
Trista Sutter, the first-ever Bachelorette, was also hopeful that there was a future for the show.
“It’s what brought me my family, or at least introduced me to Ryan, so we could create a family,” she told PEOPLE of her husband, Ryan Sutter, who she met on the show’s first season. “So if it’s all over, it will make me sad. [I’m] hoping that that’s not the case.”
