Downtown Las Vegas is preparing another New Year’s Eve party beneath the Fremont Street Experience’s enormous LED canopy.
The annual celebration stretches across the district’s five-block entertainment zone, with live music on multiple stages and a countdown at midnight.
This year’s event has a different draw for visitors comparing the cost of New Year’s Eve plans around Las Vegas: admission is substantially cheaper than it was for the previous celebration.

The lineup also brings together early-2000s rock and hip-hop names, electronic performers and local acts.
$35 Early Bird Tickets Represent 42% Cut From Previous Year
The official event page lists early-bird tickets at $35 plus fees for Countdown Under The Canopy, which takes place Thursday, December 31, 2026, to welcome 2027. According to the Fremont Street Experience announcement, prices rise to $42 on December 1 and $50 on December 24.
That starting price is about 42% below the $60 early ticket price for the 2025 celebration. Last year’s tickets later rose to $65.
The organizers have not publicly explained the reduction.
Scott Roeben of Vital Vegas, who says he spent six years working in the district’s marketing department, suggests the lower admission price could help draw more visitors downtown. More foot traffic can also benefit the surrounding casino partners through gambling, dining and drink sales, rather than relying on ticket revenue alone.
