Lupin season 4 stars Omar Sy as thief Assane Diop who stops at nothing to get justice
The Netflix series’ fourth installment also features returning cast members Ludivine Sagnier, Antoine Gouy, Soufiane Guerrab and Shirine Boutella
There are also a handful of new cast members being introduced — including older versions of returning characters
After three long years, Lupin has returned for season 4.
The French mystery series, which debuted its fourth installment on Oct. 23, picks up four years after the events of the previous season. Once again, Omar Sy returns as Assane Diop, a French gentleman thief who takes after the master thief Arsène Lupin by using violent methods, disguises and cons to get justice.
Although Assane remains behind bars in a high-security prison, his plans to lay low and serve out his sentence get upended when “Lupin” signs an announcement that “multiple museums are to be hit with simultaneous heists,” per the Netflix description.
“In spite of heightened security, the thefts go off as planned,” the logline reads. “Assane proclaims his innocence, but everything points to his guilt. A camera even shows him in one of the museums during a robbery in which Captain Belkacem is seriously injured. To prove his innocence and unmask the copycat, Assane must escape and don the Lupin costume once more!”
In addition to Sy, the fourth installment also features the return of Ludivine Sagnier as Claire Laurent, Antoine Gouy as Benjamin Férel, Soufiane Guerrab as Youssef Guédira and Shirine Boutella as Sofia Belkacem. Meanwhile, there are a handful of newcomers joining the cast — including Théo Christine and Laïka Blanc-Francard.
Here’s everything to know about the new characters joining Lupin season 4.

Théo Christine is an older version of Assane Diop’s son, Raoul Diop, in Lupin season 4.
Etan Simon has portrayed a younger version of Raoul since season 1. Christine took on this version of the role because of the time jump that take place between seasons 3 and 4.
As the trailer teased, Raoul’s dynamic with his father will play a significant role throughout the season.
The French actor previously had roles in the French television series Skam France, as well as movies Summit Fever, Infested and My Best Part.
While Christine plays Sy’s on-screen son in Lupin, it isn’t the first time the two have acted alongside each other, as they’re both starring in the upcoming epic adventure film, Dumas: Black Devil.
“What’s funny is that actually happened afterward. We approached Théo for Lupin, and he said yes,” Sy, who also serves as a showrunner for season 4, explained to Variety. “Then, while we were working on the series, he got the role in Dumas.“
