The property of Sinead O’Connor on Monday (Mar 4) requested Donald Trump to not play her music at advertising and marketing marketing campaign rallies, saying the late singer considered the earlier president a “biblical satan”.
Trump has carried out O’Connor’s best hit, Nothing Compares 2 U, at events as he campaigns for the Republican presidential nomination.
In a joint assertion, O’Connor’s property and her report label, Chrysalis, demanded Trump “desist from utilizing her music instantly”.
It acknowledged the Irish singer, who died last year aged 56, “lived by a fierce ethical code outlined by honesty, kindness, equity and decency in direction of her fellow human beings”.
“It was with outrage subsequently that we realized that Donald Trump has been utilizing her iconic efficiency of Nothing Compares 2 U at his political rallies,” the assertion acknowledged.
“It’s no exaggeration to say that Sinead would have been disgusted, damage and insulted to have her work misrepresented on this manner by somebody who she herself known as a ‘biblical satan’. Because the guardians of her legacy, we demand that Donald Trump and his associates desist from utilizing her music instantly.”
