For a couple of week now, the campus in entrance of Notre Dame Cathedral in District 1 has been adorned with 60-meter-long golden strings of lights masking the scaffolding of its two bell towers, that are presently underneath restoration.
That is the primary time the church has been brightly adorned for Christmas since renovations started in 2017.
Jules Bourard, a French architect, designed the unique church. Development started in 1877 and took three years to finish. The Notre Dame Basilica of Saigon was labeled as a Basilica by the Vatican in 1959.
