Riverbend 2.0 adds third band to 2027 lineup. Hint: They’re ‘on fire’

Get ready, concert lovers. Another show has been added to Cincinnati’s newest concert venue, Farmer Music Center. It’s the third concert to be announced this week.

Rock band Kings of Leon will headline a show on Oct. 12, 2027. The Nov. 6 announcement comes the same day the band released its 10th studio album, “O My Beloved.” Kings of Leon is best known for hits like “Sex on Fire” and “Use Somebody.”

The concert announcement comes a day after Matchbox Twenty’s concert announcement (July 27) and just a few days after Farmer made its first-ever show announcement: country star Riley Green (June 24).

Tickets for the Kings of Leon concert go on sale Friday, Nov. 13, at 9 a.m. Fans can sign up for the band’s presale starting today. Pre-sale tickets go live Tuesday, Nov. 10, at 9 a.m. Visit farmermusiccenter.com for more ticket details, including chances to win free tickets.

What to know about Farmer Music Center

Colloquially referred to as “Riverbend 2.0,” the $160 million project by Music and Event Management Inc. is being built next to the 42-year-old Riverbend Music Center and is slated to open in spring 2027.

The three-story outdoor amphitheater is expected to accommodate up to 20,000 concertgoers, split between 8,000 reserved seats and a 12,000-capacity general admission synthetic lawn.

The overall architecture will feel similar to next-door Riverbend, but it will be elevated (literally) because it sits on a hill, and materially, with a club vibe.

Will Riverbend be demolished?

No. MEMI isn’t planning to demolish the existing Riverbend Music Center next door, as it may be used for other shows or music festivals.
