Prince William reveals favorite TV show during surprise appearance

After a long day of royal duties, Prince William likes to kick back in front of the tube.

The Prince of Wales dished on his favorite movies and TV shows during a surprise appearance on “The Graham Norton Show” Thursday, Oct. 22. The episode, which also featured guests Cate Blanchett, Hannah Waddingham and Robert Irwin, is set to air Friday.

When it comes to the cinema, William told host Graham Norton that he loves “getting immersed in deep-thinking films,” adding, “I like action films too, but I like something a bit different.”

The prince then gushed that he’s a “big fan” of Oscar-winning director Christopher Nolan, known for provocative thrillers such as “Inception,” “Oppenheimer,” “The Odyssey” and “The Dark Knight” franchise.

“His films are fantastic,” William, 44, said of Nolan, according to Variety and People magazine. “‘The Dark Knight’ series is psychologically dark and deep, and I absolutely love that. He takes concepts that are completely out there and makes them incredibly entertaining.”

The Prince of Wales, who shares children Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis with wife Princess Kate, said he and the kids have made a tradition of watching the British version of “The Traitors,” a reality competition series that pits a group of contestants against each other in a cutthroat game of social deduction.

“I love it, the family loves it. Charlotte and Louis are obsessed with it. It’s really good telly,” William said.
