MOUNT PLEASANT, S.C. (WCBD) – A holiday favorite has returned in Mount Pleasant.
Outdoor ice skating while overlooking the Charleston harbor at Charleston Harbor Resort and Marina is back for the holiday season.
Skaters can hit the ice starting Thursday, Nov. 27, until mid-January, with tickets now on sale. The rink is an eco-friendly, non-toxic alternative to traditional rinks made with 100% recyclable materials and no associated energy costs.
Closer to Christmas, the resort will host a special ‘Skate with Santa’ session.
It’s not just ice-skating, though; the whole outside of the resort turns into a winter wonderland, with firepits, s’mores, gondolas overlooking the harbor, gingerbread house-building, and Christmas decorations.
Every Thursday through Sunday, visitors can enjoy the Christmas experience at the resort. Tickets are $18 an hour for skate rentals and include crafts and a jump castle.
Prices vary for fire pit and gondola rentals.
