Cruise vacationers booked on 2026 sailings to MSC Cruises’ popular private island in The Bahamas, Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve, can look forward to new family entertainment experiences coming soon to the destination.
A former industrial site, Ocean Cay is a unique private island destination that features eight beaches and a new Marine Conservation Center where visitors can learn about the MSC Foundation’s coral conservation efforts. MSC Cruises expands entertainment options at Ocean Cay
Beginning in January 2026, MSC Cruises will introduce an expanded lineup of family entertainment activities at Ocean Cay. Designed as an extension of the cruise line’s onboard family programming, Ocean Cay’s new entertainment options will be rolled out in phases in 2026 to enhance the guest experience.
The new activities will complement the existing offerings on the island, like snorkeling, paddleboarding, and jet skiing, and bring more ways for families to enjoy their Bahamas beach day.
With offerings for all ages, the new experiences include wellness activities and sports programming, an educational augmented reality treasure hunt, and a LEGO pop-up experience.

Guests will be able to enjoy a variety of activities throughout the day from wellness activities like yoga to functional training sessions and popular sports.
Wellness offerings will include a fire and ice challenge with hot yoga and ice baths, and sunrise yoga paired with sound healing meditation.

Augmented reality treasure hunt will promote marine conservation
To support Ocean Cay’s dedication to marine conservation, MSC Cruises is introducing a unique, educational Augmented Reality (AR) treasure hunt designed for all ages.
Guests will be able to use their mobile devices or tablets to take an immersive journey around the island to discover its ecological challenges and the steps that MSC Cruises is taking to address them.
The app will lead players to wooden sculptures around Ocean Cay that can be scanned to trigger the AR storytelling function. Through the educational treasure hunt, kids will also be able to learn about species native to the island, including fish, flora, and fauna.

LEGO pop-up experience will add interactive family fun
At Ocean Cay’s Welcome Pavilion, families will be able to enjoy a lively LEGO activation featuring seven LEGO mascots and the MSC Cruises mascot, Doremi. An interactive experience for children and families, the pop-up is designed to help families create memories together on the island.
This new experience builds upon MSC Cruises’ partnership with The LEGO Group, which also includes LEGO experiences, activities, and play areas onboard its ships.
