Martha Stewart has always been a trailblazer, and now she’s proving it once again—literally.
The lifestyle icon has been sharing gorgeous, artful snaps from her recent travels through the American Southwest, often perched in the middle of what look like impossibly remote caverns and slot canyons.
“In Utah with the family for hiking and extremely beautiful sight seeing,” she wrote—very on-brand for someone known for her daily Pilates routine. “Yesterday morning a three-canyon hike thru Upper Antelope Canyon, Owl Canyon, and Rattlesnake. Today horseback trail riding through another canyon. Photos later!”
And honestly? It’s clearly paying off. These hikes are no joke. So far, she’s hit Arizona, Utah, Lake Powell and settled in at the ultra-luxurious Amangiri resort.

On Instagram, the domestic mogul shared more about her adventures
“We spent a couple hours this morning in the three ‘slot’ canyons near Page, Arizona
—‘Upper Antelope,’ ‘Rattlesnake,’ and ‘Owl.’ So incredibly amazing. No need to leave America to see Mother Nature at her best. We are so lucky and we must preserve these treasures forever! Please look at all 19 photos!!!!!! These canyons have been created over millions of years by wind and rain and erosion and ice and floods.
A trail ride through Paria Canyon also made the cut, where she rode a “well-behaved foxtrotter mare called Sadie,” taking in “amazing rock formations and muddy riverbeds.”
And because Martha never half-commits:
“Early morning on way to via ferrata—a beautiful hike and rock climb to a scary suspension bridge!!!! Photos to come.”
Meanwhile, Lake Powell—a massive man-made reservoir created in 1963—served as another stunning backdrop. Martha called it “a spectacularly beautiful place.”
Naturally, commenters were quick to cheer her on. One wrote, “Here I am sitting on the couch and Martha is doing difficult hikes. May we all be like her.” Another added, “You can do it all.”
What Is Amangiri Like?

According to Martha, the resort offers two of its more challenging hikes—complete with rock climbing, ladders and suspension bridges. “Amangiri has many guided hikes, trail rides on horseback, rock climbing adventures, bridge crossings, and canyon explorations,” she shared. “Collectively we accomplished more than ten different activities over the course of five days.”
And that was just the outdoor lineup. Inside, there’s a world-class spa, an adult gym, a serene outdoor pool, plus steam, sauna and cold-plunge offerings. Martha reports she “tried pretty much everything.”
One bucket-list item didn’t pan out: a desert balloon ride, canceled due to high winds. But an afternoon boating adventure on Lake Powell more than made up for it.

While she’s famously loyal to quiet-luxury labels like Loro Piana and Brunello Cucinelli, it looks like the cultural icon might be leaning Patagonia-core on this trip. Honestly? It suits her.
