Machine Gun Kelly Spotted Heading Into Recording Studio With a Rifle in Hand

Machine Gun Kelly turned heads this week with an unexpected, though arguably on-brand, accessory as he headed into the recording studio.

On Monday, October 26, the 36-year-old rapper, born Colson Baker, was photographed walking into a building in a black leather jacket, black shorts, combat boots and a ball cap, according to TMZ. He appeared to be carrying a few books in one hand and a rifle in the other. It’s unclear if it’s real or a prop.

The singer has claimed that he got his name from the rapid-fire way he sang his lyrics, per a 2013 interview with Untitled Magazine.

The studio is the same one where MGK was spotted leaving with Dakota Johnson earlier this month. As In Touch previously reported, the Fifty Shades of Grey star, 37, seemed to be waiting for him outside the Los Angeles studio, and his car was still parked at her home the next morning.

Neither Johnson nor MGK has addressed their relationship status, but the pair have been seen together more and more over the past two months. Both have high-profile romantic histories.

MGK was on and off with Megan Fox for five years. A few months after their final split, the former couple welcomed daughter Saga, now 18 months. He is also the father of 17-year-old Casie, whom he shares with ex Emma Cannon.

Johnson ended her eight-year, on-again, off-again romance with Coldplay frontman Chris Martin for good in June 2025. More recently, the Verity star called it quits with singer Role Model, whose real name is Tucker Pillsbury, after less than a year together.

On October 20, a source told In Touch that Johnson “does not want to commit or put any demands” on MGK, adding, “It’s very much a hook-up situation right now.”
