Lutsen Mountains ski resort is just about ready to open for the 2025–26 season.
Lutsen, along with two other properties run by Midwest Family Ski Resorts, will start the season on Nov. 28, which comes after a significant snowfall across Minnesota on Tuesday-Wednesday.
From its first day, the North Shore resort will open top-to-bottom runs on Eagle Mountain and will also have its high-speed Raptor lift in operation, which can get to the summit in three minutes.

It’ll also be the first winter season since the opening of Charlie’s Alpine Bistro, a new restaurant in the former home of Papa Charlie’s, which was lost in a 2023 fire.
The year-round restaurant is intended to bring a finer dining experience to the resort compared to its other dining options.
That new building is also home to its new, slopeside Sunset Studios lodgings.
The company also plans to open Granite Peak Ski Area in Wausau, Wis., and Snowriver Mountain Resort in Wakefield, Mich., on Nov. 28.
