There’s a bit of mystery surrounding Lürssen’s latest behemoth.
The German shipyard just launched a massive 384-foot gigayacht named Boardwalk on December 5 from its facilities. And though the vessel, previously called Project 13797, has hit the seas, not much is known about its design ethos, making it something of an enigma.

What Lürssen has shared is that the 384-footer is done up in a classic superyacht design scheme courtesy of the minds at Frank Woll and Amy Halffman studios. That includes clean, streamlined lines across the white exterior’s many decks. Boardwalk’s owner was also very hands-on in the design experience, getting involved from onboard flow to styling both inside and out, as well as the vessel’s general layout.

Boardwalk is meant to be a family retreat, so there are plenty of spaces to unwind and spend time with loved ones both inside and out. Those onboard can enjoy a gym, a putting green, and two helipads—one of which is certified and located forward on the guest deck, and the other in the rear. There also appears to be two pools dotted across the superyacht’s decks, as well as a Jacuzzi close to that helipad on the guest deck. For now, Lürssen is keeping any other details close to its chest; perhaps more will be revealed when Boardwalk finishes its final outfitting ahead of its delivery in 2026.
The shipyard is rolling out quite a few megayachts as of late. It debuted the 375-foot Cosmos back in August, one of the largest yachts to hit the seas this year. The vessel bucks superyacht trends in favor of green tech and a fresh design, meant to carry its owner across the globe. To help it explore all Earth’s waters, the all-steel creation is reinforced to Ice Class 1D, so it’s ready to take on the frigid environs of the Arctic and Antarctica, in addition to basically anywhere else on the high seas. Plus, it can take on those adventures emissions-free with its two menthol fuel cells.
“This is a rather special project to coincide with our 150th anniversary,” CEO Peter Lürssen said in a statement at the time. “While it is true that as a custom shipyard, no two yachts that leave our halls are ever the same, there are some that leave an indelible mark on our history—Cosmos is undoubtedly one of those yachts.”
