Passengers heading to the sandy shores of Belize can now do so for prices as low as $67 when flying out of one Florida hub.

Spirit Airline has annouced a nonstop service between Fort Lauderdale and Belize
On Nov. 21, 2025, flights took off from Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL) with a final destination of Belize’s Philip Goldson International Airport (BZE), starting at just $67. Spirit airlines annouced this new arrangement the same day it started, by sharing that the company would be “taking its high-value service to a new international destination” with the move.
As part of the deal, passengers would be able to choose from three flights each week, that will take off Mondays, Fridays, and Saturdays.
“Belize is a beautiful and adventure-packed getaway for travelers looking to explore diverse natural landscapes, historical sites and world-class water excursions at an unmatched value,” Vice President of Network Planning at Spirit Airlines Andrea Lusso said in a statement. “Adding Belize City to our international route map is a great win for our Guests, and we thank the airport and the community for such a warm welcome to this one-of-a-kind destination.”
Spirit will offer similar trips at 19 different locations across Spirit’s network (although none of these will be nonstop).

When is the best time to travel to Belize?
Itching to book that trip? According to the Responsible Travel blog, you may not have to wait long to enjoy the best that Belize has to offer. That’s because November through May is generally considered the best time to visit the island, thanks to the sunny and dry temperatures.
Those who are more interested in seeing what lies under the water in Belize may want to hold off on booking just yet, though. That’s because March through June is the best time of year to travel to Belize if you’re hoping to catch some whale sharks in their natural habitat, since this is when these creatures migrate through the pristine waters that surround the island.
No matter when you decide to travel, you may want to be patient. With the new pricing announcement from Spirit coming right when everyone is planning their new year travels, things may be booked up at the start of 2026, so you may need to set your sights a little further into the year for your next island getaway.
