Dubai just added another record-smashing landmark to its skyline — and this one literally touches — even soars over! — the clouds. Ciel Dubai Marina, part of IHG’s Vignette Collection, officially opened on November 15 as the world’s tallest hotel at 377 meters (about 1,237 feet), according to a press release shared with me by email. Think of it as Dubai out Dubai-ing itself.

The 82-story property packs in 1,004 rooms and suites, a soaring infinity pool with panoramic gulf views, and eight dining venues, including the award-winning Tattu Dubai perched between levels 74 and 81. And yes, that means your dinner comes with a side of 360-degree skyline.

Dubai Marina’s new star
Ciel sits in the heart of Dubai Marina, giving guests direct access to beaches, shopping, Bluewaters Island, Ain Dubai, and the waterfront boardwalk’s water taxis. The design leans multi-sensory and immersive — soft lines, warm light, and natural textures to soften all that epic height.

Families and business travelers get dedicated spaces too: a kids’ club, a splash pad, meeting rooms, and an Executive Club lounge with skyline views. A spa opens in 2026, while the 24-hour gym is already in full swing.

One of the world’s highest infinity pools
The hotel’s most dramatic feature lives in the clouds: a sky-high infinity pool with unreal views of the coastline. Tattu Dubai also extends upwards — from its moody, mythology-inspired restaurant on level 74, to a glamorous sky lounge on level 81 where the entire city twinkles at your feet.

Part of IHG’s Vignette Collection
Ciel joins IHG’s Vignette Collection, a portfolio focused on local culture, wellness, and social impact. In Dubai, that means a partnership with the International Centre for Culinary Arts, supporting training and job opportunities for emerging chefs.
