One of Lady Gaga’s dancers explains why he knows the singer will make a great mother.

Just over a month after the pop legend welcomed her first baby with fiancé Michael Polansky, one of her dancers is celebrating her new gig as a mother — and how easily she’ll slip into the new role.
Michael Dameski, who performed alongside Gaga on her Mayhem Ball world tour and danced as part of her “Abracadabra” music video, recently told Entertainment Weekly‘s sister site PEOPLE why he is more than confident in the singer’s ability to parent well.
“I think, for me, it’s just the way she just would treat us [on tour and set] — with so much care and love,” he said while attending the Dancers Against Cancer’s 2026 Industry Dance Awards. “I really see [motherhood] for her and I’m really excited for her.”

Last December, Dameski and a crowd of fans in Sydney, Australia, witnessed Gaga’s protective and nurturing nature up close after the dancer slipped and slid right off the edge of the Accor Stadium stage due to heavy rainfall in the open-air venue. The “Die With a Smile” singer promptly sprang into action, halting the concert to check on Dameski.
It was only after speaking to him and giving the dancer a hug that Gaga resumed the show. And even then, she made fans wait a tad longer so she could outfit her dancers with new shoes with better grip, to prevent any other accidents.
In addition to celebrating her constant support, Dameski went on to praise Gaga’s work ethic, noting that the star is “the hardest worker I think I’ve ever encountered in my life.”
He added that it was “just so inspiring” to observe her working up close, and pushed him to work harder himself.
“I’m so grateful for having that experience because I just don’t think I’ve ever met someone who works as hard,” Dameski said.
Lady Gaga’s Mayhem Ball tour concluded in April. These days, the singer is taking a break away from the spotlight to enjoy time alone with her family.
Gaga, whose real name is Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta, welcomed a baby girl earlier this year. PEOPLE confirmed the couple named their first child Rose Bean Polansky, a nod to both the song, “La Vie en Rose,” and Gaga’s 2011 album, Born This Way.

Gaga has long expressed excitement over the prospect of motherhood, though she has also voiced her initial “apprehension” about taking on the role.
“The thing that’s the most important to me is to not force my children to live a life that they are not choosing,” she told The New York Times in March 2025. “So the more that we can give them space to discover who they are on their own, that’s the thing that I believe in the most.”

She explained, “If our children only understand Mommy’s job, that’s a very narrow view of life. There’s so much in the world, and I want them to be able to choose for themselves who they want to be. I’m also kind of at war with myself sometimes as I get ready to, hopefully, become a mom soon. Like, today is wonderful, but the whole day has revolved around me. There’s an incredible amount of narcissism in this. How do I live a life where I’m passionate about my art while also making more space for other things?”
Since welcoming their baby, Gaga and Polansky have been spotted strolling around with the newborn.
Additionally, a source told PEOPLE that “both beam when they talk about being parents” and “both took time off of work this summer to be with baby.”
