An embarrassing photo mix-up has left one celebrity wishing he could take back a message sent to his family and friends.
Kevin Jonas revealed that he accidentally shared a revealing photo of himself in a group chat with his brothers, Nick Jonas and Joe Jonas, during the Tuesday, October 27, episode of iHeartRadio’s Hey Jonas! podcast. The singer explained that he hadn’t noticed his reflection in the background when he snapped the picture and sent it to the group.
“I did something that ruined my entire day. I don’t even know how to start this. … This is my trauma,” Kevin, 38, told listeners.
The brothers share a longtime group text with a “couple of friends” who all root for the New York Giants, Joe, 37, explained. When news broke that J.J. McCarthy was going to start as quarterback, Kevin snapped a picture of the announcement on the TV in his bathroom.
“Kevin sends through a picture to the group chat. It’s a TV, and it’s got the announcement on it, and nobody thinks much of it,” Nick, 34, said.
The problem? The TV is surrounded by reflective walls, and Kevin was undressed.
“The photo has mirrors, and I didn’t clock it, and it was in our bathroom, and I took the photo as I’m getting into the shower,” Kevin said.
On the podcast, the brothers insisted they didn’t notice at first. Joe was busy playing video games, and Nick was getting a haircut. Meanwhile, Kevin was in full damage-control mode, begging everyone to get rid of the evidence.
“[Explicit]. Delete the thread. I’m such a moron,” one of his texts read, according to the outlet.
Joe was dressed as a hot dog for Halloween. During the taping, he couldn’t help but poke fun. “It’s literally just your wiener. It’s funny for me to say that as I’m dressed as a weiner,” he said.
And now that Kevin has shared the embarrassing mishap with podcast listeners, the story is no longer confined to the group chat.
