Anyone hoping to catch a flight to Europe while flying the friendly skies with JetBlue will have two new options to choose from. That’s because the popular airline has just announced that it’s adding two new transatlantic flights to its list, and they happen to be for super popular locations.

However, you can’t exactly hop on board yet. That’s because these flights aren’t scheduled to begin until 2026. Eager to find out when you can put your tray tables back into their upright positions and fasten your seatbelts? Keep reading to learn more.

JetBlue adds Milan and Barcelona to its list of destinations

The airline made the announcement on Nov. 19 in a statement posted to its website, alerting travelers to the upcoming changes. Starting in 2026, the airline will begin making stops in Milan, Italy and Barcelona, Spain.

“Flights to both cities will operate from JetBlue’s focus city at Boston Logan International Airport (BOS),” the statement read. “Flights to Josep Tarradellas Barcelona–El Prat Airport (BCN) begin April 16, 2026, and flights to Milan Malpensa Airport (MXP) start May 11, 2026.”

According to The Points Guy, with this announcement, the airline will have a total of eight European destinations on its list. That’s pretty impressive for a company that only just broke into the transatlantic business in 2021.

What is there to do in Barcelona and Milan

If booking a trip to one of these locations wasn’t on your radar before this news dropped, then you may want to consider some of the exciting things these cities have to offer. For example, according to the official Barcelona tourism department, you can:

  • Attend some of the city’s annual events, which include things like the Three Kings’ Parade, Festival Guitar BCN, Cirque du Soleil performances, and more

  • Check out some of the regions nine UNESCO World Heritage landmarks, like the Fallas Fia Faia in Berguedà

  • Catch some sun at some of the city’s 28 Blue Flag beaches

As for Milan, visitors have just as many options, which Italy’s official tourism website says includes:

  • Visiting hot springs, thermal waters, and spas for a physical and mental reset

  • Soaking up some of the city’s arts and culture, which includes adding stops like the MUSE Science Museum to your itinerary

  • Shopping, shopping, shopping! Milan is known for its fashion, which means visitors may want to pop into some of the world famous stores and boutiques, as well as some smaller local markets

Want to get a jump on booking your dream trip to either of these European destinations? You can starting Nov. 20. According to JetBlue, that’s when tickets will official go on sale for the 2026 flights. Of course, you may want to save up for a bit first. It looks like flights will range significantly depending on when you plan to leave and how long you would like to stay, with economy flights ranging from a few hundred dollars, to a few thousand, depending on your selections.

However, you may be able to score a little more bang for your buck with certain options, especially when you opt for JetBlue’s premium Mint option, which includes lie-flat seats that could make your transatlantic flight a little more comfortable.
