I’ve always been the kind of traveler who seeks out the spa before sunrise hikes, the boutique before the mountain trail. For me, adventure usually meant an afternoon of shopping or trying a new facial treatment, preferably followed by a good meal and a plush robe.

And that level of attention made stepping into new experiences feel less intimidating and more exciting.
Saying Yes To A New Kind Of Adventure

I started with a guided rainforest hike led by a National Geographic-affiliated expert. A Shift I Didn’t See Coming
Before this trip, I would have told you hiking was not for me. That I preferred vacations with minimal sweat and maximum comfort. But Ka La‘i showed me that the two do not have to exist on opposite ends of the spectrum. Luxury and adventure can live side by side, and when they do, they create a version of travel that is richer, more meaningful, and far more memorable.
