The video kicked off with two cast members wearing holiday sweaters in front of the Cinderella Castle at Magic Kingdom. One employee could be seen lip-syncing to a voiceover that said, “How does that one song go?” before the other one responded with the song, “Once upon a Christmas-time…”

The video then cut to Magic Kingdom’s entrance, where workers removed Halloween decorations and replaced them with festive holiday displays. Crews in trucks unloaded wreaths, miniature trees and lights, while adding red flowers to the Mickey Mouse floral display at the park’s entrance.

Another truck could be seen delivering additional trees wrapped in plastic bags as it passed a lamppost already adorned with a Christmas Mickey wreath. Meanwhile, workers used lifts to install decorations on the tops of the building exteriors.

Despite the heavy rain, the workers appeared to remain in good spirits. One employee waved to the camera while holding an umbrella in the middle of the square, while others donned plastic ponchos as they continued to work throughout the night.

The video ended with a shot of Magic Kingdom’s entrance having been fully transformed in the rain. It now appeared decked out in wreaths with Christmas lights and bows. The Mickey Mouse floral display also featured red ears, completing the festive transformation.

“loading … the Holiday Season 🎁,” Disney Parks captioned the video.

Several people praised Disney Parks for their quick work in the comments, including one person who wrote, “Such admiration and appreciation for everyone who makes this Christmas magic. Great job 🎄🎄🎄.” Another said, “Thank you all for braving the rain to make magic for everyone!! 🥹.”

However, some park visitors were not impressed with the transformation. One TikToker shared that “a lot of Disney fans went to the Magic Kingdom” on Nov. 1 and “ended up being disappointed” because the park did not have some of the bigger holiday-themed decorations like the big Christmas tree in the center of the square and the toy soldiers around the park.

She noted that this could have possibly happened due to the fact that “Disney couldn’t start any transformation until every single guest, the last stragglers, were out of the park” after the Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party event on Oct. 31.

“So, with the Halloween party, they didn’t have as big of a window to even put the tree up,” she speculated. “And also last night, pouring down rain. So they weren’t able to get the tree up. In fact, they may not have even planned to put the tree up, but because there was so much rain, they weren’t able to get up any Christmas decorations at all.”

The TikToker also said that Disney only gets select Christmas items out on Nov. 1. For example, some of the “smaller” decor, including the ones inside of the Magic Kingdom’s City Hall, are put up after Nov. 1. She also estimated that the full Christmas decor in the Magic Kingdom would be set up by Mickey’s Very Christmas Party.
