Bonnie Lai, actress and the primary runner-up within the Miss Asia 1995 contest, has died at 46 beneath suspicions of suicide.

In line with The Straits Instances, Lai was discovered unresponsive in her condo by her husband, beauty surgeon Angus Hui, on Tuesday. Regardless of receiving emergency medical care on the hospital, she was declared deceased.
Hui disclosed receiving a message from Lai earlier on Tuesday stating: “See you within the subsequent life.” This led him to urgently go to her condo, the place he found her in an unconscious state.
The incident is at present beneath investigation by native authorities.
Hong Kong media reported that Lai was battling melancholy and was actively in search of remedy, as reported by AsiaOne.
Lai made her display debut in 1993 aged 17.
Her first marriage was with actor Ken Lo in 1998, which resulted in 2006, although they continued to share a cordial relationship. Lai remarried in 2007, to Hui.
