The world’s tallest hotel is now the Ciel in Dubai Marina
Designed by the NORR Group, the 1,236.88 foot tall hotel is now the world’s tallest. According to CNN, the hotel was officially opened for business on Nov. 15. The Dubai structure was highlighted in an Instagram post about the grand opening, where a video was shared that showcased just how tall the building stands above the rest of the city.
“Ciel is more than a feat of architecture,” a caption of the video read. “It is a symbol of innovation, ambition, and belief, proof that true progress happens when vision becomes reality. This landmark stands as a tribute to Dubai’s pioneering spirit and to everyone who believes that the future is built, not imagined.”

What can you expect when you stay at the Ciel in Dubai Marina
According to CNN, visitors can expect a unique experience when they stay in the hotel. That involves more than the giant hole that stands at the top of the building, which First Group’s CEO of project developer, Rob Burns told the publication was necessary in order for the building to stand so tall while simultaneously reducing its wind load. You can expect to pay a few hundred for the night, according to Gulf News, which notes that prices start at $375 a night for a single room and $545 a night for a double. However, you may have to book quickly if you want to get a chance to stay there.
The publication says that less a month after the hotel has opened, only 200 of the 1,004 rooms are left open. That makes it sound like the world’s tallest hotel is also quickly becoming the most in demand as well. That may be good news for the region, which continues to become a popular destination for people traveling to the United Arab Amirates.
