A weekend evening road leisure zone is developing at Thao Dien, HCMC’s expat hub, and can open Friday as the town seeks to develop its night-time economic system.
The zone, overlaying Xuan Thuy, Quoc Huong and Nguyen Van Huong streets, would open from 7 p.m. till 2 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays and have road artwork performances, metropolis authorities mentioned Tuesday.
It’ll have function stalls providing meals. For a six-month trial interval there will probably be jazz and rock live shows and don ca tai tu (conventional southern music style) performances and buying.
Authorities plan to function free electrical buses to move vacationers to the zone.
Positioned within the east of the town and surrounded by the Saigon and Rach Chiec rivers, Thao Dien is dwelling to over 20,000 folks.
The realm can be dotted with luxurious bars and eating places that function till midnight.
HCMC at present has eight evening road zones, together with Bui Vien and Nguyen Hue walking-only streets in District 1.
