Ethan Klein‘s wife, Hila, has accused the internet personality of having an affair in a lengthy social media statement.
Hila took to Instagram to claim that she discovered her husband and H3 Podcast co-founder Ethan Klein had been having “an affair for over 6 months.”
“The betrayal I feel is immeasurable,” she wrote in her Oct. 23 post. “The person I loved and trusted for 20 years evaporated overnight. He was my safe place, my partner in marriage, parenting, and business.”
The pair, who co-founded the h3h3Productions YouTube channel, married in 2012. They met in 2007 in Israel and launched their YouTube channel in 2011. The couple shares three sons Theodore, 7, Bruce, 4, and Sunny, 2.
“I could sense something was wrong,” Hila admitted. “I tried to ask him questions and share my concerns and hurt feelings. But I was met with dismissive answers and no action. Things that bothered me continued to bother me, and he did nothing about it.”
“Eventually, he was caught in a lie, and I knew I was done,” she continued. “But the lies continued. ‘It was just a kiss’ became ‘it was emotional cheating.’ “
She eventually forced Klein to come clean about his months-long affair, although she admits she still doesn’t know the “extent” of the alleged infidelity. “I am in survival mode, trying to navigate separation, co-parenting, and unthinkable heartbreak,” she wrote. “All I can do right now is focus on taking care of myself and my children, one day at a time.”
Shortly after she posted her statement, the cast of the H3 Podcast made their own Instagram post, in which they agreed to stop working with Klein as long as he remains involved in the production.
“We are all shocked, angry, and heartbroken to learn about Ethan’s ongoing affair,” the social media statement read. “We stand with Hila and will support her every step of the way. We’re disgusted by Ethan’s actions and the hurt he has caused. We all deserved better: Hila, us, and you.”
Klein has yet to speak out about the allegations, but the h3h3productions Instagram account declared the H3 Podcast on “indefinite hiatus” just hours before Hila’s post.
