Disneyland has just made some major announcements for 2026, including opening dates for new attractions, special event dates, a new ticket offer, and a new Bluey experience. Throughout the year, Disneyland has various special events and celebrations that bring new offerings and experiences to the resort.
We now have all of the 2026 happenings in one place that you can reference as you are planning your visit. Keep reading for a full timeline of all of the events you can look forward to! New Disneyland Ticket Specials & Magic Key Info Announced For 2026

Before we dive into all of the big announcements for the year below, let’s get into the ticket and hotel offers Disneyland announced for 2026 travel.
This year, Disneyland is having a Kids’ Summer Ticket Offer, which includes a different window of validity than in recent years. This time, the offer will be valid for visits between May 22 through September 7, 2026. It will be available to purchase beginning January 21, 2026. With this ticket offer, children ages 3 through 9 can visit for as low as $50 per child with a 1-Day, Park Hopper ticket. There will also be 2-Day and 3-Day tickets available, with options to add Lightning Lane Multi Pass for an additional fee.
During this same window of time, from May 22 through September 7, guests staying at the Disneyland Resort hotels can save up to 25% on stays of 4 or more nights, with reservations beginning Jan. 21, 2026.
These offers are in addition to the California-wide residents’ discount that was previously announced for early 2026 travel. You can see all of the details about that ticket offer here.
Disneyland also shared that select Magic Keys will go on sale beginning January 13, 2026.
Disneyland 70th Anniversary End Date

We now also have the end date for the 70th anniversary celebration at Disneyland. The celebration will conclude on August 9, 2026.
In January, the 70th anniversary offerings will be back in full swing! Entertainment that has paused for the holidays and Halloween, like “The Celebrate Happy Cavalcade,” “Wondrous Journeys,” and the “Paint the Night” parade, will all return. Lunar New Year

The first event of the year at the Disneyland Resort will be Lunar New Year at Disney California Adventure, which will take place from January 23 through February 22, 2026. This festival honors Chinese, Vietnamese, and Korean traditions with special foods and entertainment offerings.

For the Year of the Horse, Horace Horsecollar will make appearances, as well as Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse in Korean-inspired outfits and a character from “Turning Red.” As a new addition this year, several Disney characters will have all-new outfits with representations of Vietnamese and Chinese attire.
Disneyland After Dark: Sweethearts’ Nite

We previously received all of the 2026 Disneyland After Dark themes and dates, but we are including them in the timeline here for your reference.
Disneyland Sweethearts’ Nite takes place on nine select nights in January and February. This after-hours event celebrating love features appearances from beloved Disney character couples, special food and beverage offerings, and more.
The party nights take place on January 22, 25, and 27, and February 3, 5, 8, 10, 12, and 17. You can see all details about the 2026 Disneyland Sweethearts Nite, including some new offerings announced.
Celebrate Gospel

Celebrate Gospel, the annual concert highlighting gospel artists with Southern California community choirs, will be in a new location this year.
Celebrate Gospel will move to Downtown Disney for two weekends of performances. Hezekiah Walker will perform on February 21, and Yolanda Adams will perform on February 28. This move is related to the new Bluey experience we detail below.
Anaheim Ducks Day

Anaheim Ducks Day takes place this year on February 22. This is a one-day event featuring appearances by select Anaheim Ducks players and Wild Wing, hockey-themed entertainment and activities, photo opportunities, and more.

Disneyland After Dark: 70 Years of Favorites

The new 70 Years of Favorites Disneyland After Dark theme takes place on March 3 and 5. This nostalgic event will feature iconic happenings in Disneyland history, including nods to favorite musical moments, shows, and characters. The event promises to be a “figurative walk down memory lane” with offerings paying tribute to the park’s history.

Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival

The Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival returns from March 6-April 27. This is a popular festival that overlaps with Spring Break season. It celebrates Californian cuisine with several food marketplaces and other limited-time food offerings, beverage seminars, culinary demonstrations, and family-friendly entertainment.

New Bluey Show Opening

A surprise new addition is the opening of a new Bluey show this year at Disneyland Park’s Fantasyland Theatre! We previously saw a casting notice for what we presume is this show. The new “Bluey’s Best Day Ever!” debuts on March 22, 2026, and continues through the year.
For “Bluey’s Best Day Ever!”, Disney shares that the Fantasyland Theatre will turn into the grounds of Bluey’s school, where guests are invited to join in on the fun of Bluey’s best day ever. Bluey and her sister Bingo will appear live on stage, alongside a troupe of comedic actors and musicians, to share the music and games from the Bluey episodes. Families and guests of all ages are invited to participate.
The new addition will also bring themed foods inspired by the series to Troubadour Tavern, along with a life-sized Gnome Village and Fairy Garden. See all the details and concept artwork for the new Bluey experience.
Disneyland After Dark: Disney Channel Nite

Disney Channel Nite returns this year on April 12, 14, and 16! This theme celebrates the Disney Channel’s various eras of programming, with special offerings inspired by favorite shows.

New Millennium Falcon Mission Opening and Hyperspace Mountain Return

As previously announced, a new mission will debut for the Millennium Falcon ride on May 22, 2026, centered around the new feature film “The Mandalorian and Grogu” that releases the same weekend. This new mission looks to be a dramatic improvement of the ride, taking guests to iconic locations across the Star Wars universe, including Bespin, Coruscant, Tatooine, and Endor. Season of the Force, the Star Wars-focused celebration that has taken place during the last couple of years, was notably left out of this year’s events lineup. However, Disneyland shared that there will be more news about Star Wars experiences at Disneyland, coming soon, including the return of Hyperspace Mountain for a limited time starting April 28.
Disneyland After Dark: Star Wars Nite

Star Wars Nite returns this year on April 28 and 30, and May 4 and 6. These Star Wars-themed parties feature galactic entertainment, themed foods and beverages, unique photo ops, and appearances from rare characters. This year, there are fewer event nights, and the parties will not take place during Season of the Force as we mentioned above.
You can see everything we know so far about the 2026 Disneyland Star Wars Nite parties here. We received no information on a formal 2026 “Season of the Force” event which has taken place the past two years. There are also far fewer Star Wars Nite dates this year than last year.
Disneyland After Dark Pride Nite

Pride Nite, a celebration of the LGBTQIA+ community, returns on June 16 and 18. The parties feature colorful decor, specially themed offerings, and celebratory entertainment.

Disney On the Yard – Yardfest: Powered by Celebrate Soulfully

Disney On the Yard – Yardfest returns for its second year to Downtown Disney on June 19! Guests can join a celebration of the spirit and traditions of historically Black colleges and universities, along with drum majors and Drum Major Mickey Mouse, accompanied by a drumline.
Soarin’ Across America Opening

Soarin’ Across America, which is a new version of Soarin’ showcasing some of the country’s natural beauty and iconic cityscapes, will debut on July 2, 2026. This is part of a broader celebration of the 250th anniversary of the United States at Disneyland and Disney World that includes expanded July 4th offerings.

D23 Day at Disneyland Resort and Disney Jr. Let’s Play! Party

The 2026 D23 Ultimate Disney Fan Event is taking place in Anaheim from August 14-16, 2026. Leading up to and during the event, there will be some special offerings at Disneyland. D23 Day at Disneyland Resort takes place on August 13, and the Disney Jr. Let’s Play! Party takes place from August 13-16.
D23 Day will be a one-day event featuring fun surprises, themed moments, and experiences celebrating the worlds of Disney. Some of the special offerings from last year included free Mickey ear hats, a themed cavalcade, limited-time appearances from characters, a new merchandise collection, and more.
The Disney Jr. Let’s Play! Party will return for a day of live entertainment, Disney Jr. characters and activities, and fun photo opportunities tailored to families with young children at Disney California Adventure, then the festivities extend to Downtown Disney.
Oogie Boogie Bash

Disneyland also revealed the 2026 dates for the extremely popular Oogie Boogie Bash parties at Disney California Adventure, which will return on select nights in August, September, and October. This after-hours event features rare characters and villains, trick-or-treating trails, and entertainment and attractions like the “Frightfully Fun Parade” and “Villains Grove” scenescape.

The Halloween celebration will take place at Disneyland from August 21 through October 31 this year. This is a similar timeline to what Disneyland has done for the past two years. The celebration features the return of seasonal attraction overlays, special entertainment like the Halloween Screams fireworks show, spooky decor, and themed foods across the resort. Plaza de la Familia

The Plaza de la Familia celebration runs at Disney California Adventure Park from August 21 through November 2. This event celebrates the everlasting bonds of family and the spirit of Día De Los Muertos, with entertainment and offerings inspired by “Coco.”
Highlights include The Storytellers of Plaza de la Familia Celebrate The Musical World of Coco, Memory Wall and the Mexican Árbol de la Vida (Tree of Life), arts and crafts in Paradise Gardens, and more. You can see everything you need to know about the Plaza de la Familia celebration here.
Disneyland Christmas Celebration

Disneyland has also announced that the Christmas celebration at Disneyland will begin on November 18 in 2026. We do not yet have an end date for the celebration. This is a little bit of an atypical start date, as in past years, the celebration has kicked off on a Friday. This time around, it will be on a Wednesday.
The holiday celebration features festive decor, special entertainment like A Christmas Fantasy Parade and “Believe…In Holiday Magic” Fireworks, themed foods, seasonal ride overlays, and more. During this time, the Disney Festival of Holidays will return to Disney California Adventure with festive food marketplaces across the park.
