Claudia Wells Is Back in a DeLorean 41 Years After ‘Back to the Future’ — See Her Now

Claudia Wells, who played Jennifer alongside Michael J. Fox in Back to the Future, is back in a DeLorean 41 years after the iconic film hit theaters.

Wells, 60, found fame in the role of Fox’s girlfriend, Jennifer Parker, in the beloved 1985 film. But now, the actress is living in all her Future glory with a bevy of fans of the original film. On October 24, fans gathered outside the iconic home of Marty McFly for a celebration filled with DeLoreans, the New York Post shared. The “Back to the McFly House Party Fan Meet Up” served as a fun gathering of Doc Brown’s iconic car, and Wells was there to catch a ride and represent the film. Wells also reunited with her fellow Future star Lea Thompson, who played Lorraine Baines McFly, the mother of Fox’s iconic character, Marty McFly. While Wells and Thompson didn’t share any time onscreen in the hit film, they’re back together in the present day. In a new video shared to their social media accounts, Thompson and Wells gathered for a hug. Wells even noticed that Thompson still sounds exactly like her beloved character.

“wonderful fun playful night last night! This cracked me up! Lea sounds exactly like Lorraine still! 🥳🥳🥳😊,” Wells captioned the video, which cannot be embedded.

Lea Thompson Weighed in on her Favorite Back to the Future Movie

Last year, Thompson weighed in on which of the Back to the Future films is her favorite.

“For me, it’s Back to the Future 1 because it’s just a perfect screenplay. And as a director, I can appreciate the conciseness of it,” Thompson told PEOPLE before the movie’s 40th anniversary event. “And the truth is that Back to the Future 2 and 3 were supposed to be kind of like one movie, and then they spread it out into two. So, it wasn’t constructed in the same way as Back to the Future was. So I just think it’s a perfect screenplay.”

Thompson added that when they went into production for the first film, the entire team had no idea about the phenomenon it would become.

“It’s really a joy when we look out in the audience when we’re doing one of those talkbacks and half the people weren’t even born when the movie came out. I mean, that’s exceptionally cool,” she noted. “So I feel so grateful that I’m known for this movie that has such longevity and is such a great part and such a great movie. It really is wonderful.”
