I always miss my dog while I’m on vacation, but after traveling with her a few times, I know her well enough to know that it’s not really her thing. Unfortunately, this means leaving her behind, but don’t think I don’t daydream about what it would be like if she could come on all my adventures with me!
Fortunately, it looks like Blondie the Chihuahua is a bit more adventurous, considering how excited she is to board a cruise ship for the very first time. Take a look:
This video shared by @bruiserandellewoods on Thursday, December 4 shows Blondie as soon as she arrived at her cruise cabin and had the chance to check out the room. She’s in love!
Between the zoomies she’s having all over the big bed to the way she reacted when she heard that there were chicken nuggets on board, it’s clear that Blondie has truly found her calling as a cruiser.
That little tag wagging says it all. She is ready to set sail!

It’s quite an accomplishment that Blondie was able to cruise with her mom, because typically, it can be very hard to find a pet-friendly cruise.
According to Cruise Critic, Cunard’s Queen Mary 2 is the only cruise that allows pets to board, though a company called Cruise Tails is partnering with lines like Margaritaville to pilot dog-friendly cruises, so there’s a chance these could end up catching on if they’re popular enough.
As far as Royal Caribbean goes (the line that Blondie and her mom were sailing with), as of 2025, only service animals are allowed on board. If they’re in public areas, they must be leashed, and dogs aren’t allowed in the pools or spas. They also must have the proper documentations and proof of immunization to board.
It looks like Blondie truly did have a blast on her cruise, so hopefully, those dog-friendly programs will end up becoming more frequent soon. Who wouldn’t want to relax with their pup and a beautiful view of the ocean?
