National Cookie Day is Dec. 4, and several Connecticut establishments are offering sweet deals for customers.
In 1976, “Sesame Street” included National Cookie Day on its calendar for the first time on Nov. 26, according to National Day Calendar. “Sesame Street” character Cookie Monster also proclaimed National Cookie Day in the book “The Sesame Street Dictionary,” which was published in 1980.
San Francisco-based Blue Chip Cookie Co. then created the official Dec. 4 national day in 1987, and National Cookie Day has been celebrated on Dec. 4 ever since.
Here are some of the cookie shops across Connecticut celebrating National Cookie Day with special deals.
