Camilla’s Son Defends Her from ‘Nasty’ Treatment After Report ‘Disgusted’ William Is at ‘War’ with the Queen

Often, when you have issues with someone, you reach a point where you let that go or even forgive them. But sometimes, your family and friends cannot.

That’s exactly what’s happening with Queen Camilla’s son, Tom Parker Bowles, and well… the world.

While speaking to Gabriela Peacock on her Don’t Judge Me podcast, the queen’s son discussed the privilege he grew up with, the family values he learned, and his relationship with his mother. When asked how it felt that people had such strong opinions about her, Tom replied, “Just because everyone’s being nice now doesn’t mean we don’t remember!”

“Back in the 90s when it was all pretty nasty… She hasn’t changed,” he added.

Bowles was also very complimentary of how Camilla handled the attention, saying, “There have been times that haven’t been so wonderful, but my mother just gets on with it, in that sort of English way: ‘Never complain, never explain’, and just get on with it.”

Still, he made it clear that his family remembers how difficult the years when Camilla was Public Enemy No. 1 were, explaining how the bond with his siblings and extended family was very important during those hard times.

“However bad it gets for anyone, we can always gather together at my aunt’s house, or my sister’s house, or my mother’s house, or my father’s house, and have a good dinner or lunch and laugh and gossip, and this is what matters,” he said.

As for the relationship with her mother, Bowles insisted it hasn’t changed. “We still bicker over things. We’re all human. We all argue.”

Bowles’ comments come amid reports that the relationship between Camilla and Prince William has practically hit rock bottom. In July 2026, RadarOnline recently reported that they are “at war” after an argument at Peter Phillips’ June 6 wedding to Harriet Sperling. Why? Well, Camilla apparently “blocked” Harriet’s access to any royal jewelry.

“William was furious,” a source revealed. “He has a very close relationship with Peter and is disgusted that Camilla would try to stir up trouble on his wedding day just to show off her power.”

He reportedly overruled Camilla, but the jewels were still not worn. His attempt, though, left the queen livid. “Even though it’s a moot point now, Camilla is still mad,” an insider told the outlet. “She’s accusing William of purposely undermining her.”
