  • She makes small, simple changes to feel strong and balanced in the new year.

  • She shared “choices that are a little bit healthier.”

Contrary to popular opinion, Bobbi Brown loves January, she said in a recent Instagram video. That’s because it gives her an opportunity to reset—not with an extreme cleanse or anything of that nature, but with the simple intentions to make “choices that are a little bit healthier,” she said. “It’s time to focus on my health, recovery, my rest.” In the video, she shared how she’s planning to look and feel her best in 2026.

She makes sure she drinks enough water

“I’m not doing very good, but I’m really working on it,” she said, raising her full glass. “This is water with electrolytes. Drink more than you do now.” Water needs and recommendations vary depending on a person’s age, gender, and other factors. According to the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, genetic women need about nine cups of fluid per day, and men need about 13 cups. (Electrolytes help balance the amount of water in your body, supporting hydration and optimal functioning of bodily systems. But they’re not for everyone and you can overdo it. Be sure to speak to a dietitian or your provider before changing your routine.)

She eats her veggies

It may sound cliché, but it’s important. “I also make sure I put more vegetables on top of my plate,” she said—a choice we can all probably make more often. After all, vegetables (and fruits!) are the primary carriers of nutrition powerhouses like antioxidants, fiber, and other vitamins and minerals that are essential for health and longevity.

She lets her skin rest.

That means zipping up the makeup bag, believe it or not. “I take some time off from makeup. I really do,” Brown said. “I might just wear a little neutralizer [pencil] under my eyes, a Miracle Balm on my cheeks, and I just kind of take a rest.” With that, she does a skincare check-in as well. “Make sure you’re wearing your sunscreen, even in the winter. Make sure you’re wearing enough moisture, especially if you live in a climate that is really dry,” she added.

She tunes into her body.

And asks it what it needs, rather than forcing onto it expectations. “Really focus on you,” she suggested. “Do you need recovery? Do you need more yoga and less bootcamp? Do you need to just stay home and cook?”

Small changes like these have more power than you might think. “I am ready,” Brown concluded. And with this advice, we are too!
