America’s favorite tourist attraction might not surprise you

If you guessed that America’s most popular tourist attraction has a mouse at the center of it all, you’d be right.

A new analysis from Stasher ranked the country’s most iconic landmarks using Google Reviews, TikTok engagement, safety scores, nearby hotel quality, and even how close each attraction is to an airport. After crunching the numbers, Walt Disney World in Florida came out on top, beating bucket list giants like the Statue of Liberty, the Grand Canyon, and even Disneyland itself.

With a combined score of 7.72, Disney World’s magic proved hard to beat. The park boasts a 4.7 Google rating, a massive 220,000 average TikTok likes, and plenty of solid accommodation options nearby. In other words, people love it, people post it, and people keep coming back.

On the opposite end of the rankings, the Hollywood Walk of Fame landed in last place with a score of just 2.67. Seattle’s Space Needle scored 5.15, and Busch Gardens in Florida scored 5.47, showing that nostalgia and name recognition can only go so far when the visitor experience falls short.

New York also made a strong showing. The Statue of Liberty at number 5, the Brooklyn Bridge at number 7, and Times Square at number 9 all scored high, proving the city still knows how to impress millions of visitors every year.

Natural wonders performed well too. Bryce Canyon at number 4, the Grand Canyon at number 6, and Antelope Canyon at number 10 show that America’s landscapes can hold their own against even the most iconic city attractions (and require zero animatronics).

One thing TikTok made clear is that theme parks rule the internet. Both Walt Disney World and Disneyland California generated 220,000 likes each, tying for the highest social engagement of any attraction in the study.
