Starbucks’ Bearista Cup Makes Its Grand Return—And Gets A Surprise Upgrade

When Starbucks first debuted its adorable Bearista cup late last year, pandemonium ensued. Stores were allocated only a limited number, and people drove near and far just to stand in line, hoping to get their hands on one. Fights even broke out over the cup—crazy, I know.

Fans have even been reselling the cups online for astronomical prices, while others have turned to affordable dupes on Amazon. But if you haven’t snagged the coveted coffee cup yet, Starbucks is bringing back its seasonal bear for a limited time.

The original Bearista Glass Cold Cup will make its grand reentrance on December 1 at select stores while supplies last.

If you can’t wait that long, a surprise collection of Bearista Glass Cold Cup characters will debut at select locations on November 10, but only in limited quantities. While the coffee chain has yet to share additional details about these characters, we do know that they will come in Glass Bearista Cold Cup Surprise Boxes. The chain teased that more details would be shared soon.

Earlier this year, Starbucks released a limited-edition pink Bearista cup as part of its broader Pink Drink Merch lineup. The chain’s limited-time collection has been so successful that it has inspired other coffee chains to try their own version of the Bearista cup.

Dunkin’, for example, sold a limited-edition eagle cup this summer in time for America’s 250th celebrations. While we’ll have to wait with bated breath for more intel on the incoming Bearista cup characters, one thing’s for sure—people will do just about anything to get their hands on a kitschy cup.
