Maci Bookout is celebrating her son on his special day!
The 16 and Pregnant alum, 35, shared a sweet video montage on Instagram featuring throwback photos with her son Bentley, whom she shares with ex Ryan Edwards, to commemorate his 18th birthday. Bookout, who later welcomed daughter Jayde, 11, and son Maverick, 10, penned an emotional caption, reflecting on how being the 18-year-old’s mom is the “greatest gift” of her life.
“And just like that my baby Bentley is 18 years old!” she began her caption. “Being your mom is the greatest gift of my life, and I’m so proud of you Benny! We’re not done yet, but we sure did that kid, I love you! ❤️🎉1️⃣8️⃣🙏 #bennybaby #birthday #eighteen #motherhood #mamasboy.”
The now-mom of three was pregnant with her first child, Bentley, when she starred on the first season of the MTV show. She later joined Teen Mom, which was rebranded to Teen Mom OG, and welcomed her daughter Jayde and son Maverick with her husband Taylor McKinney.
“I’ve realized that parenthood is hard work at any age, and that’s why it’s so important to wait until you’re really ready to start a family,” Bookout wrote on Instagram in 2015.
Speaking to PEOPLE in 2022, the reality star admitted that it has “taken a lot” to get to where she is today, being married and having three kids. “I think, first and foremost, it took the good to get here and took the struggles to get here,” she confessed.
In August, the Teen Mom star revealed that her son Bentley will be attending Motlow State Community College in Tennessee after graduating from high school this spring.
Bookout shared a montage of photos featuring her son on Instagram, alongside audio from Bentley’s senior night at high school. Over the video, an announcer can be heard listing some of Bentley’s accomplishments.
“Bentley Edwards,” they began. “He plans to attend Motlow State Community College to play baseball and major in business. He has a 3.5 GPA.”
The announcer added that Bentley has been a five-year starter on his varsity golf team and a former wrestling team champion. “The Last Dance 🏌️🏼♂️🥹🙏,” Bookout wrote in her caption.

Speaking with PEOPLE last year to celebrate 16 years since 16 & Pregnant, Bookout shared her pride in her oldest and the journey they’ve been on together.
“On one hand, it feels like it was yesterday that I brought Bentley home from the hospital as a newborn with a full camera crew — that I seemed to not even notice because I was so in awe of Benny,” she shared.
“On the other hand I’ve live a thousand lifetimes, and I’m still in awe of him for so many new reasons that I’ve found along the way. He’s a very special human. I’m very lucky.”
