Recently, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry visited Jordan on a humanitarian trip. Little did the Duchess know that she would be mocked by fans for being a Kate Middleton copycat due to one image. Meghan and Harry have intentionally distanced themselves from the Royal Family (which is facing a lot of chaos with the arrest of Prince Andrew) and instead chosen to focus on raising their kids and their business ventures.

But despite leaving royal life behind, some parts of their life are still surprisingly similar to those on active duty in the monarchy.
While they claim to have wanted a more private life after leaving the Firm, they’ve been seen taking trips to different countries, where they are still treated like members of the Royal Family, which has reportedly infuriated both Prince William and King Charles. But that hasn’t stopped Meghan and Harry from going on their unofficial ‘royal outings’ around the globe.
Meghan accused of ‘copying Kate’
Most recently, the couple has been in Jordan on their first intentional trip together. They visited with Gaza’s hospitalized children and toured a refugee camp, but one of their activities caused public mockery of Meghan Markle. When the couple visited QuestScope Youth Center at the Za’atari refugee camp near Mafraq in northern Jordan, Meghan was photographed kicking a football around with some kids.
It led to scrutiny from fans, who said it was eerily similar to Middleton kicking a football in several photo ops. Meghan faced online criticism with comments such as, “Ok, this is actually kind of funny… never kicked a ball in her life.” Another person said, “OMG !!!! They are trying so hard to be William and Catherine !! They left RF because they hated this kind of events and now look at them, they are soooo ridiculous !!! Look at her.” Finally, a fourth insinuated that she was “obsessed” with her sister-in-law and wanted to look sporty like her as well.
‘Meghan is obsessed with Kate’
Fans of the royals are well aware that Kate Middleton is passionate about sports and athletics. She’s frequently photographed participating in sporting activities on royal outings and is a known patron of the Rugby Football Union. She participated in rugby training drills alongside professional players from Maidenhead Rugby Club some time ago. She did the same when she visited the City of Derry Rugby Club on September 29, 2021. It’s also known that she’s passionate about tennis.
